Revolutionising the traditionally slow pace of change within UK rail
Exciting projects such as HS2 and the Elizabeth Line would suggest that the UK rail industry is ready, or at least actively preparing for, the future of mobility however Charlotte Warburton, Global Head of Rail at PA Consulting, argues that the industry is too constrained by the current evolutionary nature of infrastructure.
She argues that in order to put customers at the heart of business, stakeholders must broaden their thinking of rail to expand beyond the context of transport alone, and capitalise on the opportunities of AI to further personalise service. How best can the industry achieve these goals? Are we heading towards a mobility as a service revolution?
